Khajoor Magaz (Dates Magaz) is my interpretation of the popular Gujarati mithai, Magaz. Magaz, a Gujarati version of besan burfi, is a festive and winter staple. Magaz’s soft, fudgy, melt-in-your-mouth texture has never failed to entice. This winter, I experimented with adding Dates/khajoor to Magaz to make it more healthful and intriguing. Magaz became even more soft, chewy, and tasty as a consequence.
